The Preamble Express
by
K-LINE Electric Trains

In 2002, K-LINE announced a fanciful rendition of the Preamble Express, loosely based on the prototype -- another in their long history of producing patriotic train models.

Their ready-to-run model featured an ALCO engine and 4 cars, plus track and transformer.

The cars were named for US presidents -- Washington (diner), Jefferson (coach), Lincoln (coach) and Kennedy (observation with inspection train-style theater end).

The model even played "God Bless America"!

The locomotive was numbered 951 like the prototype, but the cars had their American Freedom Train numbers (202, 203, 204, 205); numbers they weren't assigned until they were repainted after the 1974 run of the Preamble Express.
