Years after the journey of the Freedom Train, a paperboard children's book simply titled "TRAINS" featured a page on the Freedom Train with the caption:

"The Freedom Train is in the Station. With Documents of a Mighty Nation."

Illustrations were by Herb Mott and text was by Freeman Hubbard. -- published by Grosset & Dunlap.

A larger 156-page variation on the same material titled "Great Trains of All Time" carried an extensive narrative about the Freedom Train.
