The American Freedom
Train's display site in San Antonio, TX was on the grounds of the
Lone Star Brewery.
The Lone Star Brewery
was a large family-run operation and the manicured grounds of their
headquarters were made for entertaining employees and public alike.
And, in true Texas fashion, in a BIG way. Few who worked on the
train would argue that it was one of the most beautiful places the
train ever displayed.
And so it was that the
AFT ended up on the cover of the company's 1975 annual report and
on the spring 1976 edition of their employee newsletter: "The
Bru-it News".
