Lionel was set to triple their TV advertising in 1975. This brochure featured the national TV spot for the American Freedom Train HO models. The models shown are clearly prototypes -- note the showcase car in the 4th pane has only one star and the steam locomotive flying by in the 5th pane has a proposed paint scheme that was ultimately dropped. Note that the information about the AFT commercial has been greatly enlarged relative to the size of the brochure cover. Interestingly, the brochure also contained info about a general "Lionel" commercial aimed at "the emerging female market". Click on the image for a bigger version.
