American
Freedom Train Lee Lines GS-4
In 1976, a small manufacturing
firm called Lee Lines offered a masssive American Freedom Train
GS-4 in Standard Gauge.
Cleverly made from just
a few pieces of cast aluminum, the body was rough, but it fit well
with the models it was meant to run with -- standard gauge production
from the 1920s and 30s. Probably the largest standard gauge locomotive
ever 'mass' produced up until that time. Production was apparently
very limited.
Over 3 feet long and
some 14 pounds.
