American Freedom Train Promotional Buttons

Yes, there was a time when the American Freedom Train consisted of little more than an idea... and buttons like these.

These 2.0 and 2.5 inch diameter buttons are from a High Iron Company excursion in 1973 behind steam locomotive NKP 759. The observation car "Splendid Spirit" (a repainted "Brothers Two" lettered to promote the American Freedom Train) was at the tail of the train.
