Documents to be placed in the Freedom Train leave the National Archives in an armored car and proceed to Cameron, VA where the train is waiting.

Upon arrival the documents are received by Cpl. Offenbach USMC and immediately turned over to archivists from the National Archives for mounting in their display cases. The Freedom Train had a state-of-the-art fire suppression system to ensure the safety of the documents.

Both photos: Scott family collection.
