Freedom Train Power Car #1896

Power/Tool Car "SANTA FE 1896" near Chicago.

The car carried a power plant to generate both 32 Volt and 110 Volt electricity to meet the needs of the train. It also provided storage for the access ramps needed at some stops. Presumably the car has been scrapped.
