American Freedom Train art by Bob Lorenz

Ohio artist Bob Lorenz produced many of the conceptual drawings and paintings that helped get the AFT project off the ground. He served as the AFT Foundation's staff artist and worked on the engine crew of locomotive #1 (along with his wife, Bea, who worked on the train as well).

Once the train was in motion, Lorenz moved on to other artistic duties - such as designing the paint scheme the former Reading locomotive eventually wore.

Later, he took to painting the AFT in action scenes like the one at right.

This beautiful 12x15" print features AFT locomotive #1, the Preamble Express, and the founding office at Lebanon, NJ.
